Colinas Rent A Car offers to his clients a delivery and collection service up to a radius of 20 kilometers. This service should be previously requested when booking the vehicle. The customer can request the delivery and collection service at the time of booking and within Colinas Rent A Car opening hours, with at least 3 hours prior to the time intended for the delivery of the vehicle.

Picking up (check-in) or returning (check-out) the car outside the opening hours of the Service Station implies the charging of an extra fee, called "Out of Hours". The "Out of Hours" has a cost of €35.00 (VAT included) per service. The "Out of Hours" service may be applied both when picking up and returning the vehicle, i.e. up to a maximum of two services may be applied according to the time of delivery and return.
You should always complete an Automobile Accident Amicable Statement (AAD) giving a full account of the circumstances of the accident. Always complete the AAD in agreement with the other person involved (you will find a document in your vehicle documents folder). If you fail to fill out the AADR, you will be liable for the cost of repairing the damage to the rental vehicle. Then you must inform Blue Smile and deliver all the documentation related to the claim (AAD and the Auto of Occurrence provided by the Authorities).
When making a reservation, Colinas Rent A Car guarantees the vehicle of the requested group, not the make or model presented. If the vehicle of the group booked is not available, Colinas Rent A Car will provide a vehicle of the group above for the same price.
Colinas Rent A Car schematizes tables of values to be charged in case any of the mentioned damages occur, being therefore available in our website at www.colinasrentacar.pt for consultation. Please note that you may be charged for more than one item or type of repair, if necessary, for example painting and bodywork repair of the vehicle.
When you pick up the vehicle, Colinas Rent A Car checks the vehicle, and all damages are registered on the rental agreement or on the vehicle status report. You will then need to sign these documents to confirm acceptance of the situation described. You can rest assured that you will never be charged for existing damage. Minor damage will not be charged, and this minor damage includes the following: Surface damage (removable with polish without the use of special equipment). If any other damage is caused to the vehicle during your rental, you will automatically be charged the amount corresponding to the type of damage and type of vehicle. A table with the types of damage and associated costs is available for this purpose. If the damage is impossible to assess its value, the value of the deposit will be automatically blocked until presentation of the respective budget for repairing the vehicle. It will also be charged an immobilization value corresponding to the amount paid for the rental of the vehicle. Colinas Rent A Car provides the budget through an external entity and recognized by this company for the respective repair. For process management is still charged an administrative fee to the client in the value of €50.00. The values charged respect the maximum amount foreseen in the excess of your rental contract.
It is perfectly normal for the rental car to get dirty during the course of the rental, however, if the dirt is excessive and unreasonable (excessive sand on the carpets, dirty seats with stains among other more difficult dirt) you may be charged an extra fee to cover a professional cleaning of €120.00.
If you forget something in your car, please contact Colinas Rent A Car station as soon as possible. Please state your name, the item that you forgot and your reservation number, as well as the rental agreement number. The vehicle will be inspected, and we will confirm if the lost items are inside it.
Upon availability, Colinas Rent A Car, rents chairs and baby/child seats. We only need you to tell us the age and height of the child/baby, so we know the correct type of chair/seat to provide.

Picking up your vehicle is quick and simple. You just need to make sure that you have your driver's license and credit card (or two credit cards) with you when you pick up the vehicle. We will check the rented car to record any damage that has already occurred. If you are satisfied, you simply sign the rental agreement and drive away.
We always check the vehicles thoroughly, but sometimes errors may occur. If you notice any damage in the vehicle that is not indicated in your rental agreement, please contact Colinas Rent A Car as soon as possible. It may be the case, for example, that you did not have enough light when you picked up the car - in this case please contact us immediately the next morning.
Unfortunately, in these situations, it is not possible because the presentation of all documents is a mandatory requirement to rent a vehicle at Colinas Rent A Car, as well as it is required by law in Portugal.
If it is necessary to postpone the vehicle pick-up, you can do it through the available contacts, and the reservation will be kept for more 12h, as long as it corresponds to the store opening hours.
Yes, of course. The additional driver is subject to the same rental rules that were applied to you - the only difference is that you will have to pay to add him/her, thus making him/her covered by your rental agreement. The amount payable can be included in the online simulation by adding the item "Additional Driver". All driver’s licenses must be presented at the time of collection of the vehicle.
The Electronic Toll Service, allows the automatic payment of all toll roads in Portugal, including the ex-scuts. It is the most convenient solution to make the payment of all electronic tolls, while using a vehicle from Colinas Rent A Car fleet in Portugal! The price indicated of the service is per day of rental, up to a maximum value equivalent to 10 days per rental. The value of the tolls is charged directly to the Credit Card. To subscribe this service, you must request at the moment of the reservation or at the pickup of the Via Verde device, presenting a valid credit card. The value of the service and the value of the tolls will be charged to your credit card up to 30 days after the end of the rental. With the Electronic Toll Service from Colinas Rent A Car, you will benefit from the following advantages:

If any driver is under 25 years old, you will have to contract the Young Driver Supplement. If they are aged 75 or over, you will need to pay the Senior Driver Supplement. This is a mandatory supplement regardless of the type of cover you choose.
It is mandatory to use an approved restraint system adapted to the size and weight of the child up to 12 years of age or 135 cm in height. The chair must be placed in the rear seat of the vehicle and its correct fixing is your responsibility. When making your reservation, please make sure you select the correct option.

Yes, Colinas Rent A Car allows you to change or cancel your reservation online after its confirmation. For that you should contact Colinas Rent A Car Reservations Central until 48 hours before the vehicle pick-up without any costs. If the cancellation is made in less than 48h of the scheduled time will be charged the values previously established in the table.
You will receive a confirmation email with the number and details of your reservation. Only after you have received the respective email, or after you have been contacted by Colinas Rent A Car commercial service, can you confirm your reservation.

The vehicle must be delivered on the date and time established in the rental agreement. You can eventually extend the time that you stay with the vehicle, but always subject to its availability. If there is no possibility to extend the rental due to lack of vehicles or for any other reason, the vehicle must be returned under the terms established in the rental agreement. Failure to comply with the established terms incurs additional expenses.
The payment of the rental is made when you pick up the car and is charged the amount corresponding to the number of rental days and extras you may have requested. You can pay by credit card, debit card or cash (cash in Euros).
The deposit amount varies according to the car group and will be blocked on a credit card. When you return the vehicle, Colinas Rent A Car services will check if the rented vehicle is in the same conditions as when you picked it up, and the deposit amount will be released from your credit card. However, another method of payment may be available at a given time.

The card holder must be present along with proof of reservation at the time of the vehicle pick up and will be included in the agreement as a payer as well as a driver. The reservation must be made in the name of the main driver, and all additional drivers must be listed on the contract.
